April 6, 2008 - (Bowie, MD) - The SeaWolves completed a 4-game sweep of the Baysox today, shutting out the Baysox 5-0 on a cold, dreary day at Prince George's stadium. The first pitch was delayed 25 minutes due to rain before the game, and the temperature at the start of the game was 47 degrees.
RHP Jason Berken gave the Baysox their best outting from a starting pitcher so far this season, going five innings, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk. The Baysox mustered just five hits offensively, all singles, and never managed to get more than one runner on base in an inning. Mike Rodriguez singled in the 3rd inning, he is the only Baysox player to have a hit in every game so far. He also drew a walk in 6th inning and was the only Baysox player to get on base twice today.
RHP Andrew Kown had an outstanding game for the SeaWolves. He threw six shutout innings, allowing three hits and walking one while striking out three. Casey Fein threw 1.2 innings and Danny Zell threw 1.1 innings to complete the shutout.
