 June 14, 2009 - Matt Wieters will figuratively be back in Bowie on Wednesday, June 17, as the Baysox will give away 1,000 hand-numbered limited edition collectible figurines of the former Baysox and current Orioles Catcher.
The first 1,000 Baysox fans ages three and up to enter the stadium when the gates open to the public at 6:00 p.m. will receive a Matt Wieters Collectible Figurine sponsored by Optima Services.
There will be a limit of one figurine per person and there will be a "No Exit and Re-Entry" policy in effect from 6:00 - 7:00 pm or until all giveaways have been distributed. Fans will not be able to exit the stadium during this time period.
The Wieters Collectible Figurine is approximately six inches tall and portrays him in his Bowie Baysox uniform number 32, just as he wore during the 2008 season. It stands on a wooden base with a gold Baysox logo and printed Matt Wieters signature. The base also has the inscription "2008 Player Of The Year" in gold lettering.
Each figurine is also hand numbered in gold pen directly on the base.
