 November 1, 2006 - Wrye has been a key member of the Baysox staff, since January 1999 when he was hired as a Group and Ticket sales representative. Wrye was then promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Marketing following the 2000 season and subsequently was named Director of Marketing in 2001. Wrye also served as on field host for the Baysox from 1999 - 2001.
“Phil has helped lead this organization for many years through hard work, innovation, and dedication to the fans of our region.” said Baysox General Manager Brian Shallcross. “We believe that Phil is a proven industry leader, and we look forward to his implementation of our shared vision for the Baysox organization.”
The Bowie Baysox begin their 15th Eastern League season on Thursday, April 5th vs. Trenton. Bowie will open up their 2007 home schedule with a seven-game homestand beginning Thursday, April 12th against the Akron Aeros at 7:05 pm.
